Wyldlife strikes Jeresy City Once Again

Wyldlife had a show last weekend at 58 Gallery. The
gang assembled at my place before everything got started.
From left to right: "Rusty" Russ Barnett, Myself, Spencer
Alexander A.K.A. Ray Guns, and "Switchblade" Sam Allen.
Can't play on an empty stomach. We caught a trip to
Hollywood Fried Chicken.
Russ was hyped on his meal...

...Was hyped on his meal.
Beers!
The always necessary silly shot.
After going to the marvelous Lucky 7s bar, Russ ducked
out to have sex with his girlfriend (understandably so)
and so the rest of us went to 24/7 deli. Here, I blogged a
photo of me blogging a photo of me, who was blogging a
photo of me blogging a photo of me...
Dreams do come true.

I guess you could say that we're on a roll!

Oh it's Such a Perfect Day

Remember that episode of Hey Arnold where he plans his
awesome day out (activities included waking up super
early and watching cartoons with the ridiculously sugary
cereal and biking down the steepest hill in the city)? Well,
about a week ago, when I saw my micro-economics test
approaching, I vowed to myself that once school ended at
noon, I was gonna make it a great day. And unlike Arnold,
my day went according to plan and truly was flawless.
Let's have a recap:

Met up with my comrade Calder Kollmorgen after what
I believe was a successful test. We had a great skate at the
rink where homie got his tre flips back and helped me to
learn 360 shoves (Tompkins' hottest new trick).

Afterward, I had to get some food in me for my tattoo
appointment. I was psyched to finally be getting Spencer
Alexander's art on me. For those who don't know, Spencer
is the bassist in Wyldlife and one of my closest friends.
Calder was juiced to get his sandwich. Thanks, 24/7 deli.
I was saving for this expenditure for a month or so now.
The tattoo, not the sandwich.
Arrived with our meals at the wonderful JC Tattoo shop
in beautiful downtown Jersey City!
While we ate, Calder pumped me up by showing me his
first piece done some time ago: the tribute to the
Millenium Falcoln (Hans Solo won that shit fair
and square).
His newest addition is a Boba Fett helmet in the Mexican
skull style.

Getting settled, remaining feral.
Euphoria sweeps over.
Ma, you did a great job of raising your boy, so please,
dry your eyes.
Chuck Daly, hard at work.
Thanks, Chuck! I was thoroughly hyped. Chuck does
great work so if you're in the area, get to him or Adam
(also excellent with the ink and needle).
Another satisfied customer.
Shouts to Spencer Alexander, AKA Ray Guns for his
brilliant artwork. Couldn't be more happy to be
down for life, homie!
After another brief skate session and a free haircut at my
place of work, it was party time back at the crib.
Of course, all the homies were in attendance! From left
to right: John Rowley, Calder Kollmorgen (call MORE-gan)
Owen Miller, and Cliff Tomcyzk (TOM-check).
Brewed down, bro'd out, and went to the bar. A few drinks
later it was time for a nice meal and a viewing of Plan B's
Questionable with John.

All in all it was a perfect day. I'm glad I spent it with you.

P.S. Wyldlife is playing tomorrow night, March 5th, at
9:15pm with special guest opening, Big E. 58 Coles St.
at the infamous 58 Gallery. BE THERE!

Keep Dreaming, Kid

Wyldlife played last Saturday at the ramp. It was an epic
show and our good friends, Silver Bullet, joined us on the
bill. I kinda want to kick myself for not bringing my
camera. I'm making a promise to myself and to all of you
that I will bring it to the 58 Gallery show this Friday.

Anyways, this is the morning after. It turned into
a bit of a tent city at my place, and I snagged this photo
before everyone was up. That's not creepy, right?

Get a room! Nah, only joking.
