Remember that episode of Hey Arnold where he plans his
awesome day out (activities included waking up super
early and watching cartoons with the ridiculously sugary
cereal and biking down the steepest hill in the city)? Well,
about a week ago, when I saw my micro-economics test
approaching, I vowed to myself that once school ended at
noon, I was gonna make it a great day. And unlike Arnold,
my day went according to plan and truly was flawless.
Let's have a recap:
I believe was a successful test. We had a great skate at the
rink where homie got his tre flips back and helped me to
learn 360 shoves (Tompkins' hottest new trick).
Afterward, I had to get some food in me for my tattoo
appointment. I was psyched to finally be getting Spencer
Alexander's art on me. For those who don't know, Spencer
is the bassist in Wyldlife and one of my closest friends.
Calder was juiced to get his sandwich. Thanks, 24/7 deli.
The tattoo, not the sandwich.
Arrived with our meals at the wonderful JC Tattoo shop
in beautiful downtown Jersey City!
first piece done some time ago: the tribute to the
Millenium Falcoln (Hans Solo won that shit fair
and square).
His newest addition is a Boba Fett helmet in the Mexican
skull style.
Getting settled, remaining feral.
Euphoria sweeps over.
dry your eyes.
Thanks, Chuck! I was thoroughly hyped. Chuck does
great work so if you're in the area, get to him or Adam
(also excellent with the ink and needle).
brilliant artwork. Couldn't be more happy to be
down for life, homie!
to right: John Rowley, Calder Kollmorgen (call MORE-gan)
Owen Miller, and Cliff Tomcyzk (TOM-check).
later it was time for a nice meal and a viewing of Plan B's
Questionable with John.
All in all it was a perfect day. I'm glad I spent it with you.
P.S. Wyldlife is playing tomorrow night, March 5th, at
9:15pm with special guest opening, Big E. 58 Coles St.
at the infamous 58 Gallery. BE THERE!
